Welcome to June and the countdown to the H-1B cap-subject petition filing deadline of June 30. H-1B employers and prospective employees should be sure to provide all requested items to our office at the earliest, so that we may finalize assembly and filing efforts in a timely manner.
On May 29, USCIS released a news alert regarding its plans to resume premium processing services that were temporarily suspended in March. The full details of the alert are available online here. Perhaps the most pertinent information for our H-1B-minded clients, is the news that USCIS plans to resume premium processing for all H-1B petitions (including those cap-subject petitions filed for fiscal year 2021). H-1B employers and prospective employees should contact our office if premium processing is desired for H-1B petitions.
On March 18, USCIS temporarily suspended routine in-person services at its field offices, asylum offices, and application support centers (ASCs) to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). On May 27, USCIS released a news alert regarding its plans to resume non-emergency public services on or after June 4. The full details are available online here. Clients that have been waiting for USCIS to schedule, or reschedule, their appointment or interview should expect to receive notifications from USCIS in the near future. As always, upon receipt of any correspondence from USCIS, please notify our office and provide a scan of the correspondence for our review.
